I know it has been a long time since I have last posted a message for you. I was just looking at the pictures that we have taken over the past few months and I can’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction and joy seeing how we have continued to love and care for each other so deeply.

Still cannot believe that we have come so far since we first met. It seems to me only like yesterday we first met in the ICT lab and I plucked my courage to ask you to be my project mate. I remember how I felt as I passed you my number and you gave me a missed call… Finally I have got your number, finally my life have begun. 

Darling, even as we took all these baby steps together, I want you to know that likewise, I’m loving every single moment of my life with you. I really wanna thank you for sharing all these special moments together with me. Our first home, first down payment… and hopefully first kid =p

I promise to be a hao lao gong and hao papa so that I can live up to your expectation and hopes of me. Darling, I never want to disappoint you, I want to always provide for you.

this 1st of Oct marks this journey of ours… we’ve been through good and bad times, and we’ve survived…

looking back at our previous posts, we’ve indeed persevered and i see God’s good works.

these entries serve as a reminder for me, to cherish you.. and be thankful to Him for never failing to answer our prayers.

i feel the need to blog about certain occasions, events or incidents we’ve been through, from the last blog entry, so that we can look back many months down the road and remember/reminisce every bit of emotion involved. As for the pics… heh. i’ll upload them soon!

1) our first national day parade together… 9/8/08…two of us, seated under the rain in our red ponchos, taking endless snapshots of ourselves… you laughed and said you were amazed at the fact that we are not taking pictures of the parade, but ourselves instead. Dear, as long as you are beside me, the surroundings don’t matter. I want to capture these happy moments, translated into smiles and silly expressions on our faces.

2) our teachers’ day performance… once again, the time taken for us to put together this item showed that we really work best with each other.. =) i like efficient ben ben.

3) our mini getaway… being away from everyone we know… rememer our initial reaction when we were led to our CABANA? it’s like super deserted and far far away from the main resort… we went in, and gushed over the flower petals in the bathtub and on the bed… both of us concluded that flower petals dirty the bed and bathtub and it’s not practical at all… i’ll always remember the flying fox, especially the way i boxed myself in my right eye… the banana boat… bbq dinner by the beach with white wine…the hotstone massage… whereby we got ‘bua-ed’ by the stones… our shisha experience… blowing out smoke just to take pictures… and silly me coughing hard when i took in too much of it… i’ll also remember the way u taught me how to swim.. though i dont think you’ve succeeded… heh.

just 24 hours… and i wished time could just stop.

4) our appointment for flat selection… 7/9/08…. i will always remember how both of us stayed up the night before, deciding on our choice units, and worrying that they might be taken up… on the actual day, i will always remember our silly confusions over whether we want low floor with big balcony, or high floor with small balcony, or no balcony at all… or whether we should settle for the planter bed units… i like the way we respected each other’s opinion and preference… i remember us sitting on my bed side by side.. praying together with bunny, grumpy, gou gou and cookie monster… God has answered our prayers again! do you remember the feeling of us reaching toa payoh at 11 plus although our queue number was scheduled at 230pm? the tension, the anxiety… even your parents were influenced by us… looking back, i thought the decision making process with your parents was fun… i remember both of us taking turns to go to the toilet throughout the wait… and we just kept looking at the screen, hoping to get our first choice…

i remember the feeling of relief… the moment we told the person-in-charge our choice unit… both of us were so worn out after all the hype…

baby, we’ve gotten our baby cottage…. high floor, small balcony, with bay windows… i like =)

up to this point of time, we’ve two things off our minds…

- hotel for wedding lunch  (checked)

- hdb (checked)

- photographer and venue for photoshoot

- my bridal gown and your suit!

and many many more…

i’m enjoying this process. every bit of it. =)

baby, we’ve graduated!

While seated away from you during the ceremony, i missed you so much.

think i’ve become a ben-addict.

i’m excited about our new home.

it’s a new beginning.

My TIng Ting darling takes very good care of me and shower me with her special brand of overwhelming love. I love the way she carefully and thoughtfully prepares all my unique birthday gifts. Sometimes she even prick her fingers while doing them. Everytime I hear that she injured herself, I feel so sorry and upset. It hurts to now that she is hurt.

I really hope that darling and I could be together forever and ever and ever. She is the girl that I want to marry and she is the darling that I want to take care for the rest of my life. I know that the future is going to be long and there will be many other obstacles for us to overcome. I know for sure however that as long as we both hold on tight to each other, we can surpass anything.

It have been an unbelievable weekend. i really felt as if our love have be reborn and that my life have just begun. The process of making you love me all over again is wonderful. I will always remember that my work of loving you is never done. Thanks for being with me… Now just enjoy this music yar? Love you love you so much =)

The written languages were invented to chronicle the sequence of events past so that memories may be preserved and revisited. The Chinese were said to be especially adept at such preservation with numerous scrolls of written records painstakingly penned by scholastic historians standing as a testimony of their expertise. Civilizations around the world too indulge in this practice perhaps in hope that by entrusting a snippet of their life to future generations, they may transcend mortality and reign with the gods and immortals.

Words. Languages rely on a specific arrangement of words so that meaning may be conveyed. Meanings are attached to certain sounds and it may even vary according to the speaker’s pitch. Essentially, the building block of languages are based on specially produced sounds and its variations. With the building blocks at the writer’s disposal, it is assumed that the recording may take place and that the legacy may begin.

Naivety. What can a person do when words fail them? How do one accurately record an euphoric emotional outburst and meaningfully and succinctly tell another the exhilaration of the moment? The answer, they could not. Such moments can only be experienced. No amount of imagination would be able to accurately reproduce the ecstatic feelings of that moment in time.

That special moment in time. 10 to 11pm at Clark Quay would forever live on in my heart and in our memories. Quiet, simple but totally enchanting. It is amazing how a simple date with my dearest would touch my heart the way it did. It was our private time that no one is able to take away from us. It was our sacred moments that go down in the private history of us.

Even as the event passed and the new dawn approaches. I know with all the sincerity I could muster that more history would be created by us… together. For I was once alone, but alone no more. In the proverbial sands of time, I know there would be another set of footprints next to mine. Baby’s footprint …
